Our Story
NootWise started because we were tired of supplement reviews that were just marketing copy with extra steps.
The nootropics space is saturated with sites that rank #1 on Google because they have 10,000 affiliate links and zero actual testing. Brands send free products, reviewers slap a "9/10" score, and readers get advice that's 80% marketing.
We do things differently. Every product on this site was purchased at full retail price. Every claim is backed by peer-reviewed research. Every recommendation is based on real human trials, not anecdotes.
How We Test
Clinical Research First
Before we buy anything, we read the clinical trials. Every ingredient we recommend has at least one well-designed RCT supporting its use. We reference specific studies, not marketing claims.
Full Retail Price Purchase
No free samples. No brand gifts. We buy every product at full price, just like you would. This keeps our recommendations honest — we're not tempted to go easy on a product that sent us free stuff.
90-Day Minimum Trials
We test for a minimum of 90 days. Acute effects aren't interesting — we want to know what sustained use actually feels like, and whether tolerance builds. Most supplement sites test for 3-5 days and call it a review.
Real People, Real Context
Testing a nootropic while sitting in a quiet office isn't realistic. We test during actual work, study sessions, exercise, and sleep. We track cognitive performance on demanding tasks, not just how we feel after a dose.
Affiliate Transparency
We use affiliate links. When you buy through our links, we earn a small commission from Amazon. This is how we pay for the products, the hosting, and the time it takes to write proper reviews.
This does not change our opinions. We don't recommend products we haven't personally tested and believe in. A brand has never paid us to say something, and never will.
